How much would you pay to own a piece of Whitney Houston's personal collection?

Whitney Houston fans can soon own a piece of her personal collection, including designer outfits, accessories and sales awards.

The late singer’s estate announced in a joint Instagram post with Julien’s Auctions that some of her most iconic personal items will go under the hammer on Tuesday, 11 August (7pm South African time), and bidding is now open.

Proceeds from the auction will go to The Whitney E. Houston Legacy Foundation.

“We are thrilled to announce the second annual ‘The Whitney E. Houston Legacy Foundation 2026 Auction’, celebrating the timeless legacy of one of music’s greatest global stars,” Julien’s Auctions announced.

Celebrating Whitney Houston’s life and career

According to People, the items to be auctioned include a Dolce & Gabbana dress she wore on her 'My Love Is Your Love World Tour', and a Richard Avedon portrait.

Whitney died in February 2012 after she was found unresponsive in a bath in her Beverly Hills hotel room. She was 48 years old.

“This auction celebrates her extraordinary life and career while raising funds to support the Foundation’s programs, scholarships, and community initiatives. 100% of auction proceeds will directly benefit The Whitney E. Houston Legacy Foundation, furthering Houston’s mission to rebuild lives, restore self-esteem, and empower communities through impactful grassroots programs and services,” says Julien’s Auctions.
