Whitney Houston fans are in for a treat. The musician’s latest compilation album is out now and Barbie has released a doll in honour of her.
Whitney Houston's legacy continues to live on through her incredible music, which remains timeless and resonates with fans around the world.
On Friday, 'Wh1tney' was released, featuring 11 number one hits from the global superstar. The album celebrates some of Houston’s biggest songs and gives fans an opportunity to relive some of the music that cemented her status as one of the greatest voices of all time.
The album also features an expanded collection, including the first-ever streaming release of 'My Name Is Not Susan (L.A. Reid & Babyface Remix) (feat. Monie Love)'.

Following the album release, Mattel announced a new Whitney Houston Barbie doll.
In a promotional video released by Mattel, the Whitney Houston doll can be seen dancing to the global superstar’s iconic song 'I Wanna Dance with Somebody (Who Loves Me)'.
The new Whitney Barbie doll was launched on 9 August, coinciding with what would have been the 'My Love is Your Love' singer's 63rd birthday.
The 11.5-inch plastic replica captures Whitney during the era when she released the iconic 'I Wanna Dance with Somebody' music video. The doll is dressed in a purple dress, with curly hair and stunning shoes, capturing the singer’s unforgettable look from the period.
The launch event was also marked by a performance from Kenneth “Babyface” Edmonds, who performed in honour of Whitney. The Grammy-winning musician was also a friend and longtime collaborator of the late singer.
The new doll is part of Mattel’s Barbie Music Series, which celebrates influential Black female artists. The series has previously featured dolls inspired by artists including Aaliyah and Tina Turner.
Many fans have taken to social media to praise the new Whitney Houston doll, with some saying they will be adding the collectable to their collections.
