Somizi Mhlongo has teased a feature on 'Generations: The Legacy', leaving many of his fans excited about what’s to come.

Somizi Mhlongo is an entertainer of note.

It's no secret that he wears many hats, from his early days as a young performer in 'Sarafina!' to his work across television, radio and as an MC. He continues to add to his list of achievements.

On Tuesday, Somizi took to social media to tease that he will be featured on one of South Africa's most popular television dramas, 'Generations: The Legacy'. However, whether he will be appearing as an actor on the soapie or what exactly his role will be remains unclear, as he has not revealed any details.

Instead, he shared a video of himself holding a bag while joking about ukuthwala. In South Africa, ukuthwala is often used in slang to refer to someone gaining supernatural powers or abilities from another being. The term is also sometimes associated with claims about people gaining powers from snakes.

In the video, Somizi jokes that whatever ukuthwala or source of power he is using is clearly working overtime. He then opens his bag and jokingly says he is checking on his snakes.

He also takes a swipe at his haters, saying he feels sorry for them because he continues to climb higher and higher.

Somizi then gives viewers another clue about his new project by showing a door with his name on it, indicating that it is his dressing room. The door also carries the 'Generations: The Legacy' logo, seemingly confirming that he will be part of the production.

His fans were quick to react to the teaser, with many expressing excitement about seeing him on the popular soapie. Others couldn’t help but laugh at his jokes about ukuthwala and the snakes.

For now, Somizi is keeping the details of his 'Generations: The Legacy' appearance under wraps, but we certainly can’t wait to see what this new chapter in his career will bring.
