Like many South Africans, Springboks coach Rassie Erasmus endured a stressful 80 minutes when the team played Argentina on Saturday, 8 August. In fact, the 53-year-old endured an irregular heart rate during the nail-biting match.
The Boks managed to scrape a 17-10 victory over the home side in Buenos Aires.
RASSIE ERASMUS REVEALS HEALTH SCARE
On his social media platforms, Rassie Erasmus posted a screenshot of his heart rate during the Springboks’ match against Argentina.
The Boks coach suffered bouts of acute stress when his heart rate jumped to almost 200 beats per minute.
He shared: “Might pretend we were calm, but obviously not”.

It’s not the first time Rassie has experienced a near-heart attack in the coaches’ box.
Last year, the 53-year-old was on the edge of his seat in away test matches against France and the All Blacks.
He posted: “Does not help to pretend to be calm in the coaches’ box! Your heart does not lie”.
In typical Rassie style, the Springboks coach has now unfollowed Argentina and focused on the team’s next opponents – the All Blacks, who are currently in South Africa for the Greatest Rivalry Series.
The longstanding rugby rivals will play four test matches in the coming weeks.
